Windcrest Patient Referral Process

Some of our services require a referral before an appointment can be made:

Emergency Care:

You do not need a referral for emergency or critical care but your regular veterinarian will provide all follow-up care.

Rehabilitation:

We accept rehab patients on a referral basis only. All patients for canine rehab must be referred by a veterinarian who approves the plan of care and maintains responsibility for the pet’s care throughout and after the rehabilitation process.

Cardiology:

We accept clients on a referral basis only.

Avian & Exotic Care:

If your current veterinarian does not see avians or exotics, we will be happy to see them. As a courtesy to your referring veterinarian, we will only see your referred avians and exotics. Please see your regular veterinarian for the continued care of your cats and dogs.

Upon completion of the treatment, your veterinarian will receive a copy of the initial evaluation and plan of care, progress notes and a discharge summary.
